FAQ’s

Is transportation to and from the airport included?

Guests will need to rent a car or buddy up with someone who is renting a car. Reach out to us to be placed in a car rental group.

Can I pay at most places with a credit card or do I need cash?

You will definitely need cash. Most restaurants and small gelaterias do not accept credit cards, and there are not a lot of ATMs in the area. We recommend you convert your currency to Euro before you leave or at the airport.

What is the weather like in Lago d’Orta?

The weather is typically sunny and warm, though because we are situated in the Alps, there are occasional showers. It can also get quite chilly in the evening so bring some warm comfy clothes along with your swimsuit!

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

We provide yoga mats, bolsters and blankets for classes, but if you prefer to bring your own, you are welcome to. If you require any additional specialty items such as belts and blocks, we recommend that you bring them with you.

What kinds of clothes should I pack?

Aside from your regular yoga wear, pack comfortable shoes and clothes for walking/hiking. Definitely bring your swimsuit and something nicer for evening dinners if you like to dress up! As stated previously, bring some warm cover ups for the evening chill and also pack an umbrella or rain jacket in case of rain.

What other personal items might I need?

Sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, umbrella, sneakers, flip flops or sandals for the beach.

What kind of amenities are available near Casa dei Padri?

There is a small grocery store next door to the retreat center and also a pharmacy a few blocks away. Additionally, you can enjoy a local cafe, bakeries, pizzerias and small restaurants.
